A pedestrian was struck and killed in Rancho Cordova early Thursday morning. Emergency responders were dispatched at approximately 6:16 a.m. to the intersection of International Drive and Mather Field Road.
Preliminary investigations have not yet determined what led to the fatal collision. The driver remained at the scene throughout the investigation, and initial reports indicate that neither drugs nor alcohol appear to be contributing factors.
