A fatal crash occurred early Friday morning near Los Angeles International Airport when a suspected DUI driver, attempting to evade police, collided with another vehicle.
The collision took place shortly before 1:30 a.m. near South Sepulveda and West Century Boulevards during a high-speed pursuit.
An unidentified passenger in the suspect’s vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, while an innocent passenger in the other vehicle sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
Authorities report that the suspect attempted to flee on foot after the crash near LAX but was quickly apprehended and taken to a hospital with minor injuries. No further information regarding the suspect’s identity has been released as the investigation continues.
