Joshua Cervantes, 21, of Tustin, was fatally struck by a hit-and-run on April 2, 2023, as he and his friend Amber Khan left a house party in Orange County.
The accident happened near the intersection of Ross Street and St. Gertrude Place when a speeding SUV — described as a silver or gold early 2000s Ford Expedition — hit Cervantes, who was standing next to a parked car, before the driver fled the scene.
Cervantes was pronounced dead at the scene, and Khan, who sustained multiple injuries, was taken to a hospital.
Now, two years later, his devastated family continues to seek justice, offering a reward of $15,000 to $30,000 for information leading to the suspect’s arrest.
A candlelight vigil in his honor is scheduled for April 2 in Santa Ana. Anyone with information should contact the Santa Ana Police Department at 714-245-8665.
