The incident occurred when a black Nissan abruptly cut off the motorcyclist as he approached an intersection. The rider said he confronted the driver, only to be chased and then rear-ended by the Nissan, which knocked him off and dragged him along the roadway.
Police reported that 32-year-old Gary Delandro eventually turned himself in. He now faces charges of attempted murder, with bail set at $1 million.
The motorcyclist sustained moderate injuries, including burn injuries and lacerations, while his personal belongings were heavily damaged. Investigators are reviewing the helmet-cam footage and other evidence to determine the sequence of events.
