A 36-year-old man, identified as Jamel Price of Victorville, was involved in a reckless incident on the eastbound 10 Freeway in Baldwin Park Wednesday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident began shortly after 4 p.m. when Price’s 2021 BMW 750, already seen maneuvering in circles near the scene of another vehicle, struck the side of an approaching semi-truck.
The dashcam video captured Price’s vehicle performing doughnuts and skidding across the freeway for nearly three and a half minutes before it finally collided head-on with a concrete barrier.
Price exited the vehicle and rolled along the roadway before an LAPD motorcycle officer apprehended him. CHP later confirmed that drugs contributed to the crash. No comment was made regarding injuries sustained by the semi-truck driver.
