A 69-year-old motorcyclist died Monday night in a multi-vehicle collision in Stockton, California, authorities said.
The accident happened around Wilson Way and Harding Way in the city’s Park District and involved five vehicles, according to the Stockton Police Department.
Initial reports indicated a car struck the motorcyclist, triggering a chain reaction that led to collisions with three other vehicles. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. Four others sustained minor injuries, and some were transported to a hospital for treatment.
Police said all drivers remained at the scene. Investigators do not believe alcohol or drugs were factors in the five-vehicle crash in Stockton.
