A 15-year-old boy was injured in a hit-and-run crash in South Los Angeles that authorities say appeared to be intentional.
The incident occurred on April 7 around 3:40 p.m. near Nadeau Street and Croesus Avenue. Security footage captured the teen riding his bicycle along the sidewalk when a black 2025 BMW drove over the curb and struck him.
The driver briefly stopped in front of a nearby driveway before fleeing the scene, leaving witnesses attempting to intervene.
The California Highway Patrol said the teen sustained a concussion and a deep facial laceration requiring stitches. He was treated at a hospital for moderate injuries and is continuing to recover.
The vehicle suffered a flat tire during the collision. CHP has not confirmed whether the crash was a hate-motivated act but is continuing to investigate. No arrests have been announced.
