LOS ANGELES, CA — An LA Metro bus crashed Wednesday afternoon into the patio of a restaurant in downtown Los Angeles, forcing authorities to close the street next to the Walt Disney Concert Hall.
The crash happened around 4:15 p.m. at 111 N. Grand Avenue. While no pedestrians were injured, a 52-year-old woman who was riding on the bus was transported to the hospital in fair condition, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD).
The impact caused a gas leak, but firefighters quickly contained it, preventing further danger to the area. The cause of the bus accident in downtown LA remains under investigation.
