NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA – Traffic came to a standstill on Lankershim Boulevard this Wednesday after a multi-vehicle crash in North Hollywood involving five cars left seven people injured. The collision occurred between Oxnard Street and Erwin Street, a busy stretch of the boulevard.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, two victims are in critical condition, while five others sustained less severe injuries. The identities of those involved have not yet been released.
In a surprising turn, only one person was taken to a hospital, as the other six refused medical transport despite paramedics strongly recommending it.
Local authorities warned that traffic in the area would remain heavily impacted for several hours as investigators worked to determine the cause of the crash and clear the damaged vehicles from the roadway.
