LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CA — A big rig crash involving several vehicles caused multiple lane closures on the 605 Freeway Thursday morning, also impacting traffic on the 60 and 10 freeways.
The accident occurred around 6:30 a.m. on the northbound lanes near Valley Boulevard, when a van went off the road and down an embankment, prompting a Sigalert that closed three lanes and left only the HOV lane open.
Traffic quickly became congested, creating major delays not only on the 605 but also on the 10 Freeway to the north and the 60 Freeway to the south.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes as cleanup efforts continued.
As of now, it remains unclear if anyone was injured in the crash.
