LOS ANGELES, CA — A driver suspected of being under the influence of alcohol is facing possible vehicular manslaughter charges after a fatal crash in the Florence area of South Los Angeles that left a 68-year-old man dead.
The LA crash occurred around 10:27 p.m. on Monday at the intersection of West 76th Street and Broadway. According to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), a southbound Chevrolet Trax collided with an eastbound Toyota Camry.
The Camry’s driver, a 68-year-old man, was transported to a hospital, where he later died. The SUV driver, who allegedly ran a red light and was driving under the influence, sustained minor injuries and was arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter.
