A deadly crash occurred on Sunday involving an overturned vehicle near the San Tomas Expressway and Moonpark Avenue in San Jose resulting in the death of one person and major injuries in another.
San Jose police responded to the crash and pronounced one of the occupants dead at the scene. Police report that the second occupant was transported to a local hospital bearing severe injuries.
The Northbound San Tomas Expressway remains closed between Williams Road and Moorpark Avenue in an ongoing investigation. The SJPD marks this as San Jose’s ninth traffic fatality of 2025.
