A high speed crash resulted in the death of one and injury of another near the Lemoore on Sunday night.
It was 11:25 p.m when the crash happened on Houston Avenue over Highway 198. A local CHP officer witnessed the incident.
A 20-year-old man was reportedly behind the wheel of a 2022 BMW M340i, which was speeding west on Houston Avenue. Due to the high speed, the driver was incapable of handling the righthand curve of the road. The vehicle swerved off the road and crashed into a concrete barrier on the overcrossing.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while the 23-year-old male passenger was taken to the local hospital via helicopter with major injuries.
