SharkNinja is recalling nearly 1.85 million pressure cookers after receiving over 100 reports of users suffering burns when hot contents escaped from the appliance, federal regulators announced Thursday.
The recall, issued May 1 by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, affects the Ninja Foodi OP300 Series Multi-Function Pressure Cooker. Officials said the lid can open during use, allowing hot food and liquids to spill out and burn users.
SharkNinja has received 106 reports of injuries, including 50 cases of second- and third-degree burns to the face and body. The company also faces 26 lawsuits tied to the issue.
The recalled cookers were sold from January 2019 to March 2025 at Walmart, Target, Amazon, Costco, Sam’s Club and Ninjakitchen.com.
SharkNinja urges customers to stop using the pressure-cooking function immediately and contact the company for a free replacement lid. Consumers may continue using the air frying and other functions.
Customers can call 888-370-1733, email sharkninja@rqa-inc.com or visit ninjakitchen.com and click “Recalls” under “Support” to request a replacement.
The recall covers models OP300, OP301, OP301A, OP302, OP302BRN, OP302HCN, OP302HAQ, OP302HW, OP302HB, OP305, OP305CO and OP350CO, including replacement lids.
Retailers sold an additional 184,240 units in Canada, officials said.
