A 45-year-old driver was arrested after she reportedly crashed into a home in the 3600 block of Beechwood Avenue in Fresno late Tuesday afternoon.
The incident was reported to firefighters and the search and rescue team at about 5:30 p.m. when they were told of a car-home crash. The driver had exited the SUV from the office complex across the home, drove over the center divide and crashed into a residence.
The wheels of the SUV were still moving and there was noticeable smoke coming out the hood, but fortunately this did not spark a fire. The woman was rushed to the hospital for treatment and later arrested for driving under the influence.
While there were fortunately no injuries reported, the crash did cost the homeowners thousands of dollars in damage and house repairs.
