
Two people were killed after a small plane had crash-landed into two homes in Simi Valley, California Saturday afternoon.
The crash happened at around 2:10 p.m.. A single-engine Vans RV-10 reportedly headed for Camarillo Airport collided into both two-story family homes and ignited a devastating fire upon impact.
There were occupants in both homes during the crash but they were safely extricated from the wreckage unharmed. Soon after, the fire was put out by Ventura County Firefighters.
Unfortunately, there were no survivors among those aboard the plane. It was initially reported that the pilot was the only occupant, but investigators later discovered another fatality. The identities of the victims have not been released.
