A 50-year-old woman required extrication by emergency crews after being pinned and trapped between a train and a platform in the Boyle Heights Metro station Wednesday.
The incident was reported to authorities before 10 p.m. It is unclear how exactly the woman got trapped, but emergency crews got to work and successfully freed her before she was transported to hospital.
The woman reportedly suffered serious injuries. Video evidence depicts the scene as passengers were removed from the train itself. More details will be revealed soon.
