Two drivers were rushed to the hospital following a crash that took place near the Intersection of Summit Valley Road and Foley Road in Hesperia Wednesday afternoon.
The crash happened around 12:09 p.m. and involved a black Kia Forte and a white pickup truck. Preliminary reports suggest the Kia may have struck the side of the truck, sending the sedan approximately 500 feet from the point of impact.
The Kia sustained extensive damage to the driver’s side, while the truck appeared to have moderate damage. Emergency crews had to extricate the Kia’s driver, who was then airlifted to a regional hospital. The driver of the pickup truck was also transported to the hospital by ambulance.
Both individuals’ conditions remain unknown, and officials say the exact cause of the crash is under investigation.
