Stolen Kia Soul Leads Police on Wild Freeway Pursuit in LA [Los Angeles, CA]

LOS ANGELES, CA (February 27, 2024) — In a tense episode that unfolded across Los Angeles County, a suspect driving a stolen silver Kia Soul led law enforcement on a high-speed pursuit late Monday night. 

The chase, which spanned multiple freeways including the eastbound 90, southbound 405, and eastbound 105, eventually spilled onto surface streets as the driver attempted to evade capture.

Despite efforts to end the pursuit with PIT maneuvers, the suspect continued to navigate through traffic with a heavily damaged vehicle, running red lights and executing risky turns. 

The situation escalated in Inglewood when the driver rammed a CHP cruiser and narrowly avoided hitting an officer before abandoning the vehicle to flee on foot. Authorities successfully apprehended the suspect shortly thereafter.
