A head-on crash in Summit Valley, Hesperia, left one person dead and another in critical condition Wednesday night.
The collision happened around 8:33 p.m. near the intersection of Ranchero Road and Las Flores Road.
The vehicles involved were a white SUV and a silver Acura sedan, both of which suffered extensive front-end damage.
Emergency personnel arrived on scene and pronounced one individual dead. Another victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by local police.
