
Two teenagers were hospitalized Friday night after a vehicle crashed through multiple homes in the 19100 block of Newland Street.
The incident occurred around 10:40 p.m. when a 17-year-old driver, who did not possess a valid driver’s license, reportedly lost control of the vehicle while speeding. An 18-year-old passenger was also in the car at the time of the crash.
According to police, the vehicle plowed through several residential structures before coming to a stop. Both teens complained of pain and were transported to a local hospital for evaluation.
The 17-year-old driver was cited for driving without a license and reckless driving. He was later released into the custody of a guardian.
City officials were called to the scene to inspect the structural integrity of the damaged homes. No additional injuries were reported.
