A man was killed early Monday morning in a hit-and-run crash in Sacramento, and a suspected DUI driver has been arrested.
According to Sacramento police, officers responded to the area of Del Paso Road and Town Center Drive just before 2 a.m. for reports of a hit-and-run. When they arrived, they found a man lying in the roadway. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene.
Officers located the suspect vehicle nearby and detained a person believed to be involved. The driver, identified as 25-year-old Jasdeep Singh of Sacramento, was arrested on suspicion of felony hit-and-run resulting in death and DUI. He was booked into the Sacramento County Jail.
The victim remains unnamed.
