TUSTIN, CA (November 25, 2024) – A fatal crash involving multiple vehicles shut down several northbound lanes of the 5 Freeway in Tustin early Monday morning. The California Highway Patrol reported that the incident happened shortly after 3 a.m. near Tustin Ranch Road.
Authorities said an SUV collided with the concrete center divider, causing debris to scatter across both sides of the freeway. The vehicle overturned and caught fire.
At least one person was killed in the crash. The far-right lane remained open during the closure, and all lanes reopened around 7:30 a.m.No further details about the multi-vehicle crash in Tustin or the victim have been released as the investigation continues.
