
RIVERSIDE, CA – A suspect was arrested for DUI on Saturday evening after causing a deadly crash in Riverside. The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. near the intersection of Collett Avenue and Stonewall Drive. Officers responding to the scene found the aftermath of a three-car collision.
According to Riverside Police, the victim, a 75-year-old woman driving a 2005 Jeep Liberty, was making a left turn onto Stonewall Drive from Collett Avenue when her vehicle was rear-ended by a gray 2014 Toyota Tundra. The impact forced the Jeep into oncoming traffic, where it collided head-on with a red 2014 Toyota C-HR driven by a 70-year-old Riverside man.
The 75-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Toyota Tundra was arrested on suspicion of DUI. The fatal crash in Riverside is currently under investigation.
