WESTMINSTER, CA (October 22, 2024) – A hit-and-run in Westminster late Monday night resulted in the death of a male pedestrian, prompting an ongoing search for the suspect. The Westminster Police Department reported that the crash happened around 10:20 p.m. near the intersection of Westminster Boulevard and Yockey Street.
Upon arrival, first responders found the victim, described as a man in his 40s or 50s, in the eastbound lanes. Despite efforts by the Orange County Fire Authority to save him, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The identity of the deceased has not yet been disclosed.
Witnesses last saw the vehicle involved, a new, dark-colored sedan, fleeing eastbound on Westminster Boulevard shortly before police arrived.
