SOLANO COUNTY, CA – A 28-year-old woman died early Sunday morning after a head-on collision on Lopes Road near Silver Creek Road in Fairfield, according to local authorities.
The crash took place around 12:30 a.m. when one vehicle, traveling north, crossed the double yellow lines and struck a southbound car. Emergency crews arrived soon after, rushing the woman to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Police say the other driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. The department’s traffic division has taken charge of the crash in Fairfield, and officials are withholding the victim’s name until relatives are notified.
