LOS ANGELES, CA – A man was killed and a 9-year-old boy seriously injured early Wednesday morning when a hit-and-run driver crashed into an apartment building in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles.
The Los Feliz apartment crash happened around 1:30 a.m. at the Park Western Apartments, located at Western and Russell avenues.
Investigators say the driver, traveling south on Western, lost control while making a left turn and crashed into the building, sending the sedan through a wall and into one of the apartments.
The man, whose identity has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene, and the boy was taken to a local hospital in serious condition. A 34-year-old woman sustained minor injuries. The driver reportedly fled on foot and is still at large.
