
SAN JOSE, CA – A man died late Monday night after a car struck him near Berryessa and Sierra roads in San Jose.
According to the local police, the San Jose car accident happened at about 10:30 p.m. while the driver was traveling east on Berryessa Road under a green light. Investigators report that the pedestrian was crossing outside the crosswalk.
Paramedics took him to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Authorities have not released his identity; the Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office will share it after informing the victim’s family.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with police.
