
STANISLAUS COUNTY, CA – A three-year-old child is in critical condition after being hit by a car in the Crows Landing area of Stanislaus County Tuesday night.
The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call just before 8:20 p.m. regarding a collision involving a pedestrian and a possible shooting along Highway 33.
The pedestrian struck by car in Crows Landing was later identified as the young child, who authorities said was not expected to survive. Investigators found no evidence of a shooting at the scene.
While at least one person was detained, no arrests have been made. The California Highway Patrol Modesto is now leading the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision.
