BUTTE COUNTY, CA (November 7, 2024) – A 42-year-old man from Magalia has been killed in a devastating motorcycle crash on Honey Run Road near Centerville Road. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal accident.
According to the CHP, the incident occurred around 9:10 a.m. on Wednesday morning. The rider, operating a 2007 Harley Davidson, was traveling northbound on Honey Run Road when, for reasons still under investigation, the motorcycle veered off the road, overturned, and ejected the rider. The motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The CHP is now looking into whether factors such as distracted driving or driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol contributed to the tragic Honey Run Road motorcycle crash. This heartbreaking loss has left the community in mourning, as motorcycle accidents often result in catastrophic injuries or fatalities due to the inherent vulnerability of riders on the road.
