TEHACHAPI, CA (November 21, 2024) – A multi-vehicle crash involving four vehicles left two people dead Wednesday morning in the Tehachapi area, according to the California Highway Patrol. The collision occurred around 7:25 a.m. on Tehachapi Willow Springs Road, north of Oak Creek Road.
CHP investigators said a 27-year-old Delano man driving a Ford F-550 was traveling southbound, while a GMC 3500, Honda CRV, and Chevy 2500—all heading northbound—were also involved in the crash. The Ford F-550 collided with the GMC, triggering a chain reaction with the Honda CRV and Chevy truck.The Honda CRV’s driver, an unidentified 38-year-old Lancaster man, and his passenger died at the scene.
Their identities will be released by the Kern County Coroner’s Office. No information about other injuries has been disclosed. CHP is investigating the cause of the Tehachapi truck accident.
