One Killed, Five Injured in Highway 101 Crash in Geyserville

GEYSERVILLE, CA (October 14, 2024) — A two-car collision on U.S. Highway 101 south of Canyon Road in Geyserville resulted in one fatality and five injuries around noon on Saturday, as reported by the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The accident occurred under rainy conditions when a Honda Accord traveling southbound at an unsafe speed lost control, veered across the median, and collided with a northbound Subaru Outback.
The Honda carried four males, aged 19 and 20. Tragically, one was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver and two other passengers were rushed to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital with severe injuries. The Subaru’s occupants, a male driver and a female passenger, also sustained serious injuries and were hospitalized; however, their injuries were not life-threatening. A baby also in the Subaru was found unharmed.
The northbound lanes of U.S. 101 were closed until approximately 4:30 p.m. following the incident. The CHP is encouraging anyone with information about the crash in Geyserville to contact the Santa Rosa CHP office at (707) 806-5600.
