Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle in West Bakersfield
KERN COUNTY, CA (May 20, 2024) — A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle in west Bakersfield on Saturday night.
The incident occurred on May 18 in the 10000 block of Hageman Road, according to the Bakersfield Police Department. Officers responded at around 8:43 p.m. and found the pedestrian with major injuries. Medical personnel pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Police reported that a Toyota Highlander traveling east on Hageman Road hit the pedestrian. The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
The identity of the deceased will be released by the Kern County Coroner’s Office. The investigation into the West Bakersfield pedestrian death is ongoing.
