Pedestrian Killed in Highway 101 King City Collision
KING CITY, CA (August 21, 2024) — California Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal accident that happened Wednesday morning on Highway 101.
Around 7 a.m., a witness reported a body in the center divide near the Broadway Street off-ramp and a white SUV further down the road. When officers arrived, they found a deceased person in the center divide.
According to a CHP officer, another caller mentioned hitting something on the road but was uncertain about what it was.
At this stage, it is unclear where the pedestrian was positioned on the highway when they were struck. DUI is not suspected. The highway was reopened around 10:20 a.m. after the investigation into the King City pedestrian accident.
