Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Early Morning Midway District Crash
SAN DIEGO, CA (October 4, 2024) — An early morning traffic incident in the Midway District of San Diego has left a female pedestrian seriously injured. The collision occurred shortly before 3:30 a.m. when a 65-year-old man driving a white Ford F-250 pickup truck struck the woman as she stood in the northbound left lane of Camino Del Rio West, outside of a marked crosswalk.
The injured pedestrian was promptly transported to a local hospital. While her injuries are serious, they have been determined to be non-life-threatening. Authorities have not yet released her identity.
The San Diego Police Department is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the Midway District crash. They urge anyone with information about the incident to come forward to assist in their ongoing investigation.
