Pickup Truck Driver Killed in Crash with a Big Rig on Highway 12
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, CA (August 9, 2024) — A man driving a pickup truck was killed in a collision with a big rig Thursday afternoon on Highway 12 near Peatland Road in San Joaquin County, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The crash occurred around 12:05 p.m., resulting in the pickup truck driver being pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the big rig sustained minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital.
The roadway was closed shortly after the incident, and the cause of the crash with a big rig on Highway 12 remains under investigation. No other injuries were reported.
