Rollover Crash on South Union Avenue Claims One Life
BAKERSFIELD, CA (April 9, 2024) — A tragic accident claimed the life of a man on South Union Avenue in Bakersfield on Monday morning.
According to California Highway Patrol Officer Tomas Martinez (while speaking to local news agencies), the crash occurred just north of Lamb Avenue around 11:10 a.m., where the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to roll over and collide with a fence.
The vehicle involved was severely damaged, splitting in two upon impact. The driver, identified only as a Hispanic man in his thirties, was pronounced dead at the scene. The specific circumstances leading to the loss of control are still under investigation.
