Salmonella Contamination Triggers Aldi Cream Cheese Recall in California, 27 States
CALIFORNIA (July 30, 2024) — Aldi has expanded a recall for possible salmonella contamination to include cream cheese spreads sold in 28 states and the District of Columbia. The recall involves four varieties of cream cheese spread from a third-party supplier, Schreiber Foods, Inc.
The affected products in the Aldi cream cheese recall are eight-ounce cups with the following details:
- Whipped cream cheese spread: UPC 4099100101881, with sell-by dates of 08/30/2024, 08/31/2024, 09/01/2024, 09/03/2024, and 09/04/2024.
- Chive & onion cream cheese spread: UPC 4099100101751, with sell-by dates of 09/13/2024 and 09/22/2024.
- Cream cheese spread: UPC 4099100101737, with sell-by dates of 09/01/2024, 09/08/2024, and 09/15/2024.
- Strawberry cream cheese spread: UPC 4099100101744, with sell-by dates of 09/08/2024 and 09/15/2024.
The recalled products were sold in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and the District of Columbia.
