San Leandro Police Search for Driver in Fatal Hit-and-Run

SAN LEANDRO, CA (May 17, 2024) — San Leandro police are searching for the driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run that killed a pedestrian on Wednesday night.
The incident occurred at 9:21 p.m. on Lewelling Boulevard, west of Embers Way, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
Officers arrived at the scene to find a male victim lying on the roadway. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The vehicle involved in the hit-and-run had already fled, and authorities are currently working to identify the suspect.
