SUV Crash in Boyle Heights Results in Three Fatalities
LOS ANGELES, CA (February 25, 2024) — An early Sunday morning accident on the 5 Freeway in Boyle Heights ended in tragedy, as three individuals lost their lives.
The incident involved a single black SUV, which reportedly collided with a wall on the northbound on and off-ramps at Calzona Street around 2:45 a.m.
The impact caused the vehicle to burst into flames, posing a threat to a nearby residence and vegetation. However, the Los Angeles Fire Department promptly responded, preventing the fire from spreading beyond the crash site.
The SUV was found in an incorrect orientation on the on-ramp, indicating the severity of the collision. All three occupants were declared deceased at the location of the accident.
