Teen and Adult Arrested After 210 Freeway Shooting

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA (May 9, 2024) — Authorities have detained a 16-year-old boy and a 21-year-old man following a car-to-car shooting that injured an 18-year-old woman last month on the 210 Freeway in Rancho Cucamonga, California.
The incident, which occurred near Haven Avenue shortly before 4:30 p.m. on April 2, left the victim with major injuries.
California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to the scene, and the victim, a resident of Alta Loma, was quickly transported to Pomona Valley Hospital for urgent care.
After a challenging investigation with limited leads, CHP’s Inland Division Investigative Services Unit successfully identified and arrested the suspects, both locals of Rancho Cucamonga. The young male is accused of firing the weapon, while the older was allegedly driving during the incident. They are currently held on charges of attempted murder and assault with a firearm.
The names of the suspects and the motive behind the 210 freeway shooting accident have not been disclosed by the authorities.
