Teen Arrested After Deadly Pursuit Ends in Garden Grove Crash [Garden Grove, CA]
GARDEN GROVE, CA (May 26, 2024) — A juvenile was arrested following a high-speed pursuit in Garden Grove late Saturday evening, which ended in a violent crash that left one man dead and another person in critical condition.
The incident began just before 10 p.m. when officers spotted a stolen vehicle near Taft Street and Garden Grove Boulevard, according to the Garden Grove Police Department. When officers attempted to pull over the vehicle, the juvenile driver sped away, leading to a brief pursuit.
The chase ended when the driver crashed into three other cars. The suspect attempted to flee on foot but was captured by officers. His identity has not been released due to his age. A passenger in the stolen car also fled and remains at large. The Garden Grove vehicle crash remains under investigation.
