Three Injured in Sacramento County Traffic Incident Involving Minors

SACRAMENTO, CA (April 12, 2024) — Three individuals were injured in Sacramento County Wednesday evening following a collision caused by a car running a red light.
The incident occurred around 8 p.m. at the intersection of Madison Avenue and Jackson Street in North Highlands, as reported by the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
According to authorities, a vehicle driven by minors struck another car while running a red light on Jackson Street and subsequently collided with a second vehicle. The minors’ car eventually came to a stop in a nearby parking lot. A woman from one of the impacted cars sustained a broken leg, mirroring injuries sustained by one of the minors involved.
In total, three people were transported to the hospital for treatment, though details on the third individual’s injuries remain unspecified. CHP disclosed that there were three minors in the offending vehicle; two remained at the scene, while the third fled on foot.
