LOS ANGELES, CA (August 19, 2024) — Two individuals were hospitalized following a multi-car accident involving a Los Angeles Police Department officer in Willowbrook on Sunday evening.
The crash happened around 6:10 p.m. at the intersection of S. Central Avenue and Imperial Highway, according to the LAPD.
The cause of the Willowbrook multi-car crash remains under investigation, and the department has not disclosed if the officer was injured. One victim, a woman in her 20s, was taken to the hospital after experiencing chest pain, while a man in his 30s was hospitalized for a leg injury. Images from the scene showed multiple damaged vehicles, including the LAPD patrol car, which had deployed airbags.
