Vehicle Blaze Damages Carport in Northwest Bakersfield
KERN COUNTY, CA (April 10, 2024) — A fire on Meacham Road in northwest Bakersfield Tuesday morning resulted in multiple vehicles being burned, according to the Kern County Fire Department.
Firefighters responded to the scene in the 22000 block just before 11:30 a.m., where they worked to extinguish the flames damaging both the vehicles and a carport.
Jonathan Drucker, a spokesperson for the fire department, confirmed that while the fire has been put out, crews remained onsite to ensure it was fully extinguished. The cause of the Meacham Road fire is still under investigation, and fortunately, no injuries were reported.
