Woman Dies in Fresno Crash After Ignoring Stop Sign
FRESNO, CA (March 6, 2024) — A two-vehicle crash in Fresno County on Tuesday led to the death of a 76-year-old woman, the California Highway Patrol confirmed.
The incident, occurring at the intersection of Dickenson Ave. and Barstow Ave., forced authorities to recommend alternative routes to the public.
According to reports, the elderly driver did not stop at a sign on Dickenson Avenue and collided with a vehicle driven by a 45-year-old man on Barstow Avenue. This collision caused significant damage, overturning one of the vehicles.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, while the man suffered minor injuries and was hospitalized.
