Worker Dies in Heavy Equipment Accident at Bel-Air Job Site
LOS ANGELES, CA (August 28, 2024) — A construction worker was fatally injured Tuesday morning while operating heavy equipment at a residential job site in Bel-Air. The incident reportedly happened around 10 a.m. on West Chalon Road, where the unidentified man was working on a steep embankment.
Details of the accident at Bel-Air job site remain unclear, but footage from the scene shows a track loader or skid steer with an auger attachment parked at the base of the embankment. A tarp, typically used to cover a deceased person, was seen near the equipment.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene, but the man was already pronounced dead.
