Worker Injured in Late-Night Crash on I-205 in Tracy
TRACY, CA (August 21, 2024) — A late-night collision on Interstate 205 in Tracy left a construction worker with moderate injuries. The incident happened around 11:30 p.m. Monday when a car struck a pickup truck with a bucket in an active construction zone on the westbound side near El Rancho Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened as the car was attempting to change lanes and collided with the stationary pickup. The 27-year-old worker from Stockton, who was in the bucket at the time, sustained moderate injuries. The 18-year-old driver of the car from Sonora suffered major injuries.
Authorities do not believe that drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash.
