A 25-year-old pregnant woman and her unborn child have died following a two-car collision on Interstate Highway 280 in San Jose Thursday evening last week.
Officers were called to the scene at around 7:30 p.m., where it was found that a green Honda Civic crossed all traffic lanes and eventually crashed into a Ford pickup truck and ejecting the Honda driver. The driver was a 25-year-old woman with two children in the vehicle.
Once the Honda driver’s characteristics were revealed, she was taken to the local hospital where paramedics discovered that she was actually pregnant. Both the woman and the baby would not make it, and were pronounced dead at the hospital.
The driver’s other two children were thankfully unharmed, but were still taken to the hospital for precautionary sake.
