LOS ANGELES, CA – A five-vehicle crash in North Hollywood forced a Metrolink train to stop Tuesday morning after an SUV ended up on top of another car and one vehicle flipped over on Vineland Avenue near Vanowen Street, authorities reported.
The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) said six people were evaluated at the scene, with no serious injuries. Five were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, while one person declined medical transport.
The crash damaged a railroad crossing, causing a Ventura County Line train to halt for safety. The train later resumed service, but passengers experienced delays.
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the multi-vehicle crash in North Hollywood, while crews work to clear the roadway and restore normal traffic flow.
